You've read two of my favorite books this year - The Water is Wide by Pat Conroy and Girl with a Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier. I'd love to know what you thought of them!

Girl with a Pearl Earring... I REALLY enjoyed that one! Part of me was a little sad that she didn't get to further her relationship with Vermeer, even though he was married. lol Which, I suppose, is a testament to the author as I wouldn't normally think that "in real life."
The Water is Wide... I just finished that one this afternoon. A friend turned me on to Pat Conroy a couple years ago, starting with Beach Music, and I've been slowly working my way through everything he's written. When I first bought it, I didn't realize it was nonfiction, which I don't read a lot because I'm lazy. :) But, I found myself really liking it A LOT. It's such an interesting story...
