Why on earth did Ikea stop making the Billy series in a width of 60cm.
Now they only have 40cm and 80cm, the first is many times to narrow and the latter naturally a bigger chance of the shelves sagging, while 60cm is perfect :-(

While I think the 80cm width is the perfect size - if the books aren't too heavy-, I do agree it's not good that the 60cm size seems to have been discontinued. In combination it makes it so much harder to fill a walll.
My guess is that they simply didn't sell enough of that size though,

I wonder if it would help to give that feedback to IKEA? If enough people complain, they might bring it back!

I miss the 60cm size as well! The 80cm widths are slightly bowing on some of my bookcases but I don't seem to have tested them to destruction...not yet anyway!
