I was just talking to someone online about these children's books we used to see as kids. They were huge, about 2'x3'. My friend had a bunch of them, and they were great for covering yourself during hide-and-seek (and also, I guess, for reading). I'm 38, so I'm guessing these were around in the early '80s. I can't remember any titles, or the company that published them, but I'm sure they existed! I'm having no luck Googling. Does anyone know who published these books?

The only time I have seen these was when they were given out to libraries or bookstores as promotional tools. When I was at the bookstore we received these oversize books in the form of advance copies.

Our first grade teacher had a number of oversized books she used regularly in the classroom. I'll try to find out where she got them.

Scholastic sometimes offers selected picture books as Big Books but I couldn't find any dimensions online. They are pretty big however.
