Automated data is not always correct, yet I can't eliminate the incorrect information in my catalog without replacing that information with something else. zero is not an accepted value. If the books were physical books, correcting the data would be as easy as measuring the book in question... however, in my case, much of the incorrect data applies to ebooks. One cannot weigh or measure an ebook, and page numbers are either not in existence or are very different for many ebook formats... I would rather my catalog show no values in those cases than incorrect values.

I have the same issue. I've got an audio book of Death Masks that shows in my catalog view as having one page. The value is in green. I don't seem to be able to remove it. If I edit from the catalog view or from the edit page the field is blank. Even if I resave the blank field, the one reappears if I refresh the catalog. I've even tried to enter my own value and then delete that but the green one returns.

This sounds like a bug: if you blank out a value you should not be getting the green value reappearing. We'll take a look at what's happening.

This should be fixed now. It was a display problem where green data was showing when the user-entered data was blank when it shouldn't have been.

Doesn't seem to be fixed. I can blank the weight, but not the dimensions.
edit: oh no I can't; blanking the weight removes it from the catalog view when the lightbox goes away, but it it repears when the page is reloaded.

Blanking the page field is now working for me. The one I mentioned above is now showing blank as are two new ones I tried, even after refreshing the page. I haven't tried any of the other fields.

I can blank everything _but_ the weight. Dimensions, pages, and physical summary go away when I delete them, and stay gone.
Weight goes away when I delete it, but (as PaulFoley said) comes back, as green text in the catalog, when I refresh the page (F5, though I assume leaving and returning would do the same thing). In the lightbox, it's still blank. Looks like the green text display issue isn't quite solved yet.

Yesterday afternoon, after ccatalfo reported the problem had been resolved, it looked as if the problem of my ebooks showing physical data had been resolved. Unfortunately, today, all that erroneous data is back again. :(

I suspect he's watching, but I'm formally assigning it to CC now.

Back for me to. The green "1" i mentioned in post 2 is back in catalog view even if a save a blank field in edit view.

>10 lucien: I believe I have this green-data-still-displaying-despite-blanking-out problem fixed now (e.g. the Death Masks book mentioned in post 2).
