Witches of East End! I was SO hoping to win that one or one for my nephew.

Got Steve Berry's newest one, I enjoy them but they're only about one step above Dan Brown in writing.

12 I didn't say that, though I'm not a 'fan', I do enjoy reading his books now and then, they have lots of action to cover up the plot holes (or lack of a plot) and take no real thought to read. But they still have huge plot holes and aren't very good for anything but mindless entertainment, they fill a niche.

I won The Meowmorphosis by Franz Kafka. I'm so excited - I love Quirk Classics! I guess I need to hurry up and read The Metamorphosis first though before it comes in the mail. Yay!

I won Haazinu (Listen Up) by Yerachmiel ben-Yishye. Sounds great and am looking forward to it.

Last month was the first time I won anything from the Early Reviewers, but I have yet to receive that book. I understand that I should wait 60 days to report that I haven't gotten it. I'm grading my last final exam tomorrow and summer reading season begins, so I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of Vaclav & Lena by Haley Tanner.

I won Half a Life: A Memoir (touchstone's not working, sorry) by Darin Strauss. Looks like it'll be an interesting one. I know the hardcover was originally published by McSweeney's and I love their stuff, so I'm looking forward to it.

Tomb of the Ten Thousand Dead (Stories from the Golden Age) by L.Ron Hubbard. Should be a fun, quick read from Hubbard's early pulp, pre-scientology days.

Don't give up hope for last month's book. I won one last month, and it hasn't shown up yet either, but I'm sure it will before too long.

While there are occasional mistakes and mix-ups, I think that the vast majority of LTER books are sent to the addresses on file. No general stats to prove that, of course. :)

Inside Gilligan’s Island by Sherwood Schwartz

The show was one of my favorites- and early on I was surprised to learn that Bob Denver, who played Gilligan, was the Maynard G. Krebbs of "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis" (which I saw only a few times in the '50's)-. I remember the opening and closing theme song with graphics from 'Gilligan'. I, like other healthy males- fell in 'love' with Ginger (who was played by Tina Louise-who recently died).

Pretty excited - I won Stefanie Pintoff's Secret of the White Rose, and a couple of chapters in it's excellent. I have had amazing luck with LTER's.

Gandhi the man. Gandhi's been a personal hero of mine for a while, so when I saw this, I immediately requested it.

Though I'm swamped with writing deadlines at the moment, when I saw on the list, Hollywood Remembered: The Oral History of its Golden Age by Paul Zollo, I couldn't resist. Happy to say I got it.
