Just thought I'd drop a note and say, "Hi."

So...Hi!

I've been a member of a few other groups throughout Library Thing, but decided to broaden my horizons. Off to poke around the threads...

hello. I thought I'd add in a hello, just squeizze in one more.
I can't spell squeeze,
Jesus It's just one of them dead end words where you have to go and find your dictionary to know how to spell it.
do you reckon that's how shakespeare got started? he couldn't find his dictionary? I know robbie coltraine invented the dictonary in 'blackadder'...

15jugglingpaynes
Jun 28, 2011, 10:00 am

Welcome Godlike, your randomness will fit in well here. :o)

Hi Shan! *waves*

And welcome also to rtkaelin. It's good to see some new people posting!

16Godlike
Jun 28, 2011, 10:12 am

I did spell squeeze right that time didn't I? Jesus I'm so goofy It's unbearable, I need bashing with that dictionary, if not anything else.

17Godlike
Jun 28, 2011, 10:17 am

I could talk to myself all day let alone a net load of people. Who are you people out there? whast your stories? Americans? cos I love you americans especially elvis, marlon brando, river phoenix and james dean.

18jugglingpaynes
Jun 28, 2011, 10:19 am

Squeeze is correct! Does your computer highlight mistakes? If so, you can right-click on the word and it should give you suggested spellings that will make it easier to find the right word. But we're pretty laid back about spelling here. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time. I happen to be homonym impaired. If I'm tired, I will always pick the word that sounds the same but is spelled differently and means something else. ;o)

27MsDonna

I have some pills that block out those voices. You just stick them in your ears, or you make the person saying the things swallow them (dual porpoise).

Time for a nap. So I can ignore the e=mails saying I have to pay for my ebay purchases *bites fingernails*. I don't remember buying that noro or shibui sock yarn. Someone else must have broken in and used my computer. Damn yarn hackers.

28jugglingpaynes
Jul 1, 2011, 10:17 pm

*snort* Have a nice nap! I'm sure ebay won't notice if you don't pay! And how would they know it was your purchase? It's not like you live alone! ;o)

29MrAndrew
Jul 2, 2011, 12:22 am

dual porpoise?

30yootah
Jul 2, 2011, 4:41 am

isnt a dual porpoise what they do at seaworld, when the dude in a wetsuit decides to stand on the backs of two dolphins?

31MrAndrew
Jul 2, 2011, 7:11 am

I think it's where two porpoises have a grudge, and they settle it at dawn.

32biblioholic29
Jul 2, 2011, 8:57 am

#31: You're thinking of duel porpoise.

33MrAndrew
Jul 3, 2011, 5:36 am

no, that's where two indigenous american babies have a grudge, and settle it at dawn.

34biblioholic29
Jul 3, 2011, 8:38 am

Pretty sure that's duel papoose.

35jugglingpaynes

36MrAndrew

no, that's where two train carriages have a grudge, and settle it at dawn.

37yootah
Jul 5, 2011, 8:07 am

wouldn't that be duel caboose?

38rtkaelin
Jul 5, 2011, 12:14 pm

Drool caboose?

39jugglingpaynes

46biblioholic29
Jul 6, 2011, 1:47 pm

I believe JP's thinking of a drool recluse...

47MrAndrew
Jul 6, 2011, 5:00 pm

nicely done.

but isn't that someone who lives alone and lives on a diet of thin porridge?

48Jim53
Jul 6, 2011, 5:05 pm

Good one, MrA, but that's a gruel recluse. Then there's the really mean person who lives alone...

61yootah
Jul 7, 2011, 6:30 pm

things obviously havent changed much since I was last here.

#52, I was actually thinking a mule recluse, but never mind

62Jim53
Jul 7, 2011, 6:37 pm

Even though he lives alone, the mule generates a certain amount oif waste...

63jugglingpaynes
Jul 7, 2011, 9:31 pm

Ewww...mule refuse. :oP
I prefer Christmas waste.

yootah/shan: Things were pretty quiet, actually. You must have stirred us up.

64catbastet
Jul 7, 2011, 10:53 pm

What about garbage that is kept at carefully controlled low temperatures?

66rtkaelin
Jul 8, 2011, 8:53 am

Pool re-use?

67yootah
Jul 8, 2011, 10:47 am

well, one would assume that people would use a pool more than once

68MrAndrew
Jul 8, 2011, 11:41 am

not necessarily. they may be really really rich, have a phobia about water-borne bacterium, and opt for one-use swimming pools.

"Jeeves! I have finished bathing. You may incinerate the pool now."

69sarahy
Jul 8, 2011, 3:56 pm

wouldnt u want to be a pool manufacturer to do that? or just really wasteful....

86yootah

#84 Blackadder is amazing. One of the few good things to ever come out of England. It did feature Hugh Lourie, but it also had Rowan Atkinson, Stephen Fry, Tony Robinson and many other hilarious actors. I loved Blackadder goes forth the best though.

89Godlike
Jul 14, 2011, 6:18 am

I wasn't too impressed with blackadder, liked the 2nd series cos rowan atkinson looked really hot in it, always thought Stephen fry was a bit stuffy what about the young one's? Rik mayall is awesome, loved the hippy
