I noticed this a couple of times but had hoped it was just me misusing the site. Now I'm not so sure.
In Power edit last night with my Doctor Who tag selected:
http://www.librarything.com/catalog/theapparatus&tag=Doctor%2BWho
Used the Select all 79 books link and then unselected Doctor Who: Zagreus work as that's an audio and had been previously tagged.
Made sure that Doctor Who: Zagreus wasn't selected, checked or even green highlighted.
Added the "eBook, PDF, Science Fiction, SciFi, Novel, Fiction, Time Travel, British" tags.
Doctor Who: Zagreus still got those tags even though it wasn't selected:
http://www.librarything.com/work/1554425/book/75656988
The Fix Me tag there is just a reminder for me this morning.
edit: A quick scan of outstanding bugs doesn't show this but I'm in a hurry this morning.

Can someone at least confirm this please? :)

Scratch the previous message (I thought I had - but the unselected book is not touched) - I cannot reproduce
OS/Browser? Because it sounds like the selection does not get passed correctly so it might be a JS issue

Yep, sounds like the same problem as with collections. I haven't power-edited tags lately; next time I do I'll pay attention.

I'm thinking this was solved in a bug that should have been combined with this. But I'm not sure. I'd like to see it recapitulated, if anyone can get that.
