Patricia Briggs - Technically not a vampire series, but so good you'll forgot that.

Jennifer Rardin has 8 books in her Jaz Parks series which starts with Once Bitten, Twice Shy.

You could also try the Bloody series by Georgia Evans: Bloody Good, Bloody Awful, and Bloody Right.

Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate series has vampires that are very serious and hysterically funny at the same time. Starts with Changeless.

Raven Hart has a series called Savannah Vampires starting with The Vampire's Seduction. The title sounds seedy, but this series has complex characters, plots, and appropriate vampire violence. I was glad I looked past the cheesy cover.

Definitely check outJeaniene Frost and her Grave series. Hot!

Cherie Priest just started a vampire series with Bloodshot and the sequel comes out next month.

Don't forget Jeanne Stein and her kick-ass Anna Strong series.

A newer book that I just loved was The Greyfriar by Susan Griffith, the first book in the Vampire Empire series. Yup, vampires now rule the earth.

Mario Acevedo has the Felix Gomez series about a vampire detective in Denver, Colorado.

Christopher Moore has an absolutely hysterical vampire trilogy starting with Bloodsucking Fiends.

My three favorite vampire novels of all time:

1. Delicate Dependency by Michael Talbot
2. New Amsterdam by Elizabeth Bear
3. Sunshine by Robin McKinley

You could try Susan Hubbard's trilogy, the Ethical Vampire series, but I don't know if you'd like it. Her books are well-written and literary. Try Society of S to start out.

I use book swapping sites like bookmooch.com and paperbackswap.com to swap books and get new ones to read. Esp. paperbackswap.com is good since it is fast. I have found so many new books to read. I am not leaving a carbon footprint behind by swapping. I have saved 821.00 on paper back swap so far and received 394 books. I am always looking for new titles to vampire books that are not your typical series listed here. Feel free to contact me to learn more. I have found many brand new books out there as used. di

There's a series by Anne Bishop with vampires and shape-shifters (Others) in it, which is quite well done as far as we've read. It starts with Written in Red.

How about The Greyfriar by Griffith? There are 2 sequels.
