Off to Glasgow at some point this month - does anyone know whether the Dear Green Place has a Chinatown? Or just an oriental grocery of some kind - I need stuff I can't get in Dunoon! All help gratefully received ...!

If you go up to Cambridge St (just off Sauchiehall St) you will find lots of Chinese stores.

Been a while since I was in Glasgow but there also used to be a market with some shops down on New City Road, which is not far from Cambridge St.
On Cambridge St., I think it was Lim's I used to go to when I lived in that neighborhood.

Most of them tend to be pretty small, some larger Chinese supermarkets are Chung Yin on Dobbies Loan (just behind Buchanan Bus Station), or if you have time to go a bit further out, See Woo on Saracen Street in Possil is a treat! It's also got its own restaurant which is actually really good.

If I remember correctly, there is a traditional Chinese supermarket (for the Chinese community) around the corner from Cambridge St, on the corner of Rose St and Buccleuch St.
Ach, I'm homesick now!
