I'm did a mass import from a CSV file and tried to include ratings, comments and tags, but they were not imported. Is it not possible to include these in the import? If not, it seems a serious limitation (who wants to go and retag several hundred books?). If so, what is the right way to do it? My CSV file was like

Is there some reason that PUBLICATION INFO has three single quotes around it in the first line?
Maybe the & in the tags is messing things up?

Can you explain exactly the steps you're following when you try to import? Are you uploading the file (and if so where), or are you copying and pasting the text onto the import page?
My guess is that there's a problem with the formatting of the CSV file, maybe because the column heading for the author is off.
For CSV import to work and import the data in your file (as opposed to grabbing external data based on the ISBNs), your file needs to be in *exactly* the same format as the sample CSV -- with exactly the same column headings, and with data in the subsequent rows formatted correctly. I'd recommend having the columns in the same order too. Also note that the author names need to be in last-comma-first order.
Here are the columns in the sample CSV:
'TITLE',"'AUTHOR (last, first)'",'DATE','ISBN','PUBLICATION INFO','TAGS','RATING','REVIEW','ENTRY DATE'
There is no comments column, so those definitely won't import; you'll have to add those manually later. There are columns for tags and ratings, though, so those should import if the file is formatted properly.
So this is what the data you listed above needs to look like:

Edited to add: also, as far as I can tell, if there is a valid ISBN, the system will NOT import your publication info or year. Instead it grabs those from the external data of whatever sources you choose on the import confirmation page.

Hi there, I've tried to import more than 4K items from a csv file, but my tags and my review is not imported (also, not all my items are imported - perhaps only those with isbn. Can anybody help me?

Can anybody tell me, how I can import my own metadata? I expected tags and reviews to be imported for all records, while the title, author and that kind of metadata to be harvested from the amazons & co for records with isbn, and from the csv for records without isbn.
I'd very much appreciate any help!
