... searches my own library. (At least in Too Obscure and New Wave Science Fiction and Fantasy.)

Damn. Okay. Will look into.

Still broken *. As is 'search all fields' when looking at somebody else's catalog **:
- 'Search all fields' while looking at the other person's catalog goes to the catalog of the person logged in.
- 'Search tags' and 'search books' while looking at the other person's catalog seem to work fine.

Okay.
I think we can actually do this by mashing up the new search with the group data. There's a risk that a *totally* new book won't show up in searches for 12-24 hours, however.
I'll solve this soon—promise.

Is this why "shared books" aren't updating? Just checking on the health of my pet (feature)...
8LolaWalser

Hi. Group search is still not working.
Could someone from LibrayThing please let us know about when to expect the solution of this problem? That would really be nice because this group search function is the main reason why I joined a group.

First time ever I tried that feature. And still not working. A pity really.
I hope we get some update on that.
It's incredible to see that the first post on that subject was posted almost 4 month ago...

I have been reading a lot over the last few weeks in different threads that LT team might be diverting energy to their new product "LT for libraries". I hope this isn't true. They should hire more people maybe or have two working groups, one for each product.... :-(

This feature was the reason we moved the German Wikipedia group over here. Now it doesn't work. What do I tell my fellow wikipedians? :(
20SilentInAWay
Ah, but in software development time, two months later still qualifies as soon.

It finally seems to work. Thank you

If i search other. longer-standing groups, i'm only getting results from one member - and not always me
24ringman
I seem to be getting all the results but my name comes up in the owner column for all books even those owned by others.

Chatting with a friend earlier, we realised that a way to search multiple libraries on LibraryThing would be ideal for our college environment. Each student's library could then become part of a searchable college library.
I was excited then to discover the group function on here and created a group to suit this purpose. I've just invited LT members who are at my college and have encouraged other college students to join up, catalogue their books and then join our group.
Imagine my frustration then when I've just discovered that group-search doesn't actually work - or doesn't even seem to be a function (even though on the wiki page for groups it described what I thought was a group-search function).
Is this feature likely to be revived or created? It really is what I'm after!

Pretty recently Tim was asking for input about which of two problem areas to work on, and this was one of them. I can't lay my hand on the thread just now, but the other area was the one getting the most votes. However, it's clearly on the To-Do list!

Aha, it was this thread - scroll down quite a bit for this discussion.

Thanks for your help and for pointing me to the "pick one" thread. Have left my vote there!
