This is your thread. It can be about anything you want.

If you could talk to one person in history, who would that person be, and what would you talk about?

LOVE that ovoid window out to the greenhouse. I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate that into my own house.

You know, like neat, like "clueless", LIKE get a vocabulary.

like learn to speak English, like, and when you talk about Che Geruva,
please learn what a 'murderous' bastard he was.

ETA: "To send men to the firing squad, judicial proof is unnecessary...These procedures are an archaic bourgeois detail. This is a revolution! And a revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate. We must create the pedagogy of the The Wall! (El Paredón)" --Ernesto 'Che' Guevara

I often wonder if the people wearing Che Guevara shirts actually know anything about the guy.

Likewise people wearing the communist 'Red Star', I doubt they'd have survived long in Soviet Russia or East Germany.

Yeah, funny that. I don't see many/any one wandering about with an "Adolph" T-shirt.

Please check out my library on that topic!
Shit, I'll have to get it organized one day :-)

17:  Memories of college and those who should not have been there come to mind.  If you're going to promote someone or something, please know a little more about them than simple pop culture, and for EVERYONE'S sake, learn to go ONE SENTENCE without using the word like.  Facebook strengthened my abhorrence for the word.  I snapped at a relative once, "Stop telling me what they were like and tell me what the fsking said!"

Well I just finished updating every book in my LT collection to have correct tags, sit in the right collection and have the correct edition date so that stats graph is correct...

Now just to add the other few thousand books laying about the house...

Hi Henri, congrats, like, but though I like you - hey almost anyone from Melbourne must be OK - you are NOT like the OP who wanted to play.

like... A very flexible word is 'like, like.

OK OP see how many different ways (with different meanings) you can like makeup using like.

Like giving it more meaning in a sentence or using it for comparison during a conversation.

Instead of using it, like, wherever you, like, really have nothing else to say. Then it can, like, totally become a verbal slap to the ear.

Just saying.

O-o

24- Like seems to be the modern 'um'

26justjukka
Apr 6, 2013, 6:38 pm

25 - I prefer "umm".  At least it's honest.  If I say "umm", we all acknowledge that I'm fishing for words.

27Shushelle

I use "um" as sarcastically as possible. That way, I can trick my brain cells into thinking it was all done on purpose.

Sarcastic "um" -- is that with or without the eye roll?

29Shushelle

Depends on my mood. I also can be partial to a corresponding hair flick if circumstances become dire.
