At that pace you could have gone for a 100 books in 2012. ;)
Sweet!
How did you like Clash of the Titans? I thought about giving it a try but I'm not really sure...

I liked the book very much. The original movie version follows the book. I've never seen the 2010 movie version of Clash of the Titans. It's been my personal experience that I almost always prefer the original version of a movie and I have heard other versions of songs byThe Beatles and they have all been Massacred by them with the exception of the Aerosmith version of Come Together in the movie Armageddon. I love Aerosmith's version of Come Together.
As for movie remakes of Classic TV Shows & Cartoons they're never as good as the original or they remake other versions of Classic Movies.
For example:
I prefer the original 1960 John Wayne version of The Alamo to the 2004 version with Billy Bob Thornton & Dennis Quaid and also the original version of High Noon to the Tom Skerritt remake.
For example:
I own all three of The Addams Family movies they made in the 90s.
The Addams Family
Addams Family Values
Addams Family Reunion
The Wild, Wild West with Kevin Kline & Will Smith
Rocky & Bullwinkle
Three Scooby-Doo movies
a couple of Flintstone movies
Dudley Do-Right
Lost In Space
McHale's Navy
My Favorite Martian
The Fugitive
The Avengers
The Saint
The Honey Mooners
The Brady Bunch
The Partridge Family
Fantasy Island
The Planet of the Apes
Battle Star Galactica
Though I do like the Three 90s movie versions of The Addams Family. I think they're very funny. I do own all three of The Addams Family movies but I still prefer the original 1960s version of The Addams Family to the movies. I much prefer the original cartoon versions of Scooby-Doo; The Flinstones; Rocky & Bullwinkle; and Dudley Do-Right to the movie versions. I also liked the 90s version of Fantasy Island though it didn't last too long; I like the 2001 version of The Planet of The Apes & The Fugitive. The only thing that the remakes have going for them is better Special Effects. I didn't really care for the Lost In Space movie because the kids that played Penny & Will Robinson seemed too bratty for my taste. I couldn't really care what happened to them like I did with Angela Cartwright & Billy Mumy. I also preferred the original Robot over the movie version of the Robot. The Fugitive was a good movie with Harrison Ford & Tommy Lee Jones. I liked Malcolm Macdowell's darker version of Mr. Roarke on the 90s version of Fantasy Island.

Whoa, I really got you started there. Totally unexpected original vs. remake discussion! Awesome! Thank you for that! Though I unfortunately haven't seen most of what you listed in the original version, I'm certainly with you on that topic. Totally right about the cartoon versions of Scooby Doo and the Flintstones. As to The Addams Family, I've only seen the 90s movie versions... And the TV series (as far as I remember, but I'm positive...).
Well, back to the book. I'll certainly give Clash of the Titans a try some time then. I have not seen the movie (yet?) and I certainly plan on on reading the book version first. I do think, however, that reading the book first spoils the movie. I guess my imagination is sometimes so much different from what the movie makes of a book that I tend to not like the movies all too much. Only exception there is The Lord of the Rings, where the movies are fantastic (yet still I like the books better...).

Well before the Lord of the Rings movies we had the animated movies which I always liked. Because the animated films was the first time you got to see Gandalf, Bilbo, Frodo, and Aragorn. Before then you just had to your imagination to see what The Shire, the Elves, Rivendell, Hobbits and the rest of Middle-Earth looked like.

Oh, I didn't know there were animated movies. But using your own imagination to see what the places and the folks were like is kinda just what I like about books. But, having been to some of the film sets of the movie (The Shire is really awesome!), those images slowly replace the ones in my imagination. Still not a bad thing. Can't wait to see The Hobbit movie!
