I really liked On Beauty until I got near the end. Howard was just such a schmultz and I didn't like where it went. Just me, I am sure, as it won the Orange in 2006 but the ending really turned me off and moved this one from a probable 3 1/2 to 4 star read to a 2 1/2 star read for me. Not even keeping this one. My only 'ick' Orange to date.

I didn't like On Beauty either. But I'm a big fan of Howard's End, which OB was meant to be an homage to.
