March EXPLODING BOMBS Progress

We are doing absolutely fantastically! We are ahead of schedule by more than 80 books!
WAY TO GO EVERYONE! Check the numbers that I have entered for your total through the end of February and let me know if there are any errors that need to be changed.
Also please don't adjust the tickers for a few days while I balance everything for February. Bring your personal tickers over to this thread to help me get the totals at the end of each month.
The tickers (password BOMBS) are set so everyone can add their goals.

Sorry, I just entered my February BOMBS. I have only read 4 BOMBS so far, not 11 as listed. On track.

I read 14 for February and 7 in January so I should be at 21 BOMBS now. Thanks :)

Hi Cyderry - I took 4 books off my TBR shelf in February, so now my total should be 6. Not a great difference, I admit. All of them were added to the tickers.

My readings are slowing down at the moment due to personal circumstances, hope to catch up later this month.
In my thread at the 75 Books Challenge for 2012 I wrote more about it.

I'v read 6 BOMBS in januari and februari so its 6/18 and starting to read the 7th BOMBS

I've read 6 more since my last update in January (and I won't update the main tickers at the top - I don't want to screw you up, so I'll let you do it!), so my total so far this year is 9.




I keep reading library books, which is very not helpful.

its 7/18 for me

Done with my second of the month, Butchers Hill, for a total of 14. Tickers updated.

I am just transferring my ticker across from February. No new bombs as yet. Hope to read a couple of shorter books to make some progress.

Finished my first book for March, and have updated the ticker.

OK, finished my third for March, When the Devil Holds the Candle by Karin Fossum. Tickers done.

Finished three more, and have updated the ticker. This brings me to about a third of the way to my goal!

Finally knocked off another one, which brings my grand total to 2. Finished River of Smoke by Amitav Ghosh, took me longer than expected. I should up my total by knocking out some short ones, but I intend to pick up Grapes of Wrath next. Call me crazy.

Finished A Trick of the Light by Louise Penny, required reading for my online group. I've had it since it was released sometime last year so it counts!

Updated the Bombs Detonated ticker but wasn't sure what to do with the percentages...

I chose a quick short read and that's my first bomb for March. I have updated group and individual ticker. The recent Orange longlist inspired me to pick up Anne Enright's The Forgotten Waltz out of the pile.
Also ordered lovely new bookshelves on the weekend, so hopefully I will have a home for all my books languishing on the floor.

So far March has been slow for me, hopefully I'll catch up a little in the next two weeks :)

But Helen, do you have enough discipline to not fill up those new shelves with more books?

If it were me, I'd being making my list and figuring out how many books I could fit on those new shelves. You are a braver woman than I!

Hi Cheli I know it will be a challenge. They will fill up very quickly as I have over 100 books waiting for a home. I am contemplating how I will sort them. At the moment I have different sets of shelving for read and unread, NZ authors and international etc... All sorts of possibilities!
I had trouble sleeping last night so have now finished The Forgotten Waltz. So that is one more off the floor. I will update tickers.

Finally exploded another bomb. Barely, but still! Finished The Last Kashmiri Rose which I received as a SantaThing book.

I've been a slacker this month--didn't read a single thing off my shelf. But I'm hopeful for April!

I read three books off my shelves in March. Well, actually, I listened to them while I was driving back and forth for my spring break. But a book is a book. I did Swan Thieves, Girl in Translation, and Blue-Eyed Devil. I did not update the ticker.

I had three for March - updated both mine and group tickers Six for the year.

Due to multiple distracting events in my life, and the book's 760-page length, it took me all of March to read Allen Drury's Advise and Consent, which was not an off-the-shelfer. So nothing here for me in March, I'm afraid.
