So at the library today, I decided on the spur of the moment to read books by female authors, alphabetically by last name. Happily, I found a group on LibraryThing to track this. I selected A to F so far and will record them here as I start them.
- Update: I am planning to read the alphabet in order and I've decided that they will all be picked from the local library, more or less at random. -
A - Allende, Isabel - Portrait in Sepia
B - Brashares, Ann - My Name is Memory
C - Chevalier, Tracy - Remarkable Creatures
D - DeWoskin, Rachel - Repeat After Me
E - Enright, Anne - Yesterday's Weather
F - Farrell, Fiona - Mr. Allbone's Ferrets
G - Garner, Elizabeth - The Ingenious Edgar Jones
H - Hannah, Kristin - True Colors
I - Ison, Tara - The List
J - ??
K - Keyes, Marian - The Brightest Star in the Sky
L - LeGuin, Ursula K - Lavinia
M - Munro, Alice - Too Much Happiness - IN PROGRESS!!

Thanks to being on staycation, I finished up my B book fast! Moving on to C - Chevalier. I've read a few of her other novels and expect to enjoy this Remarkable Creatures as much as those.

Letter D slowed me down a bit. I had a little trouble getting into Rachel DeWoskin's Repeat After Me, but ended up really liking it. Moving on to E, which I'll be reading on a plane to DC. If only it were for fun and not for work!
