I read this book in middle school, and it was old when I read it (so I'm thinking anytime from the 80s or earlier). The edition I read had mint green stripes on a white background. It was called Bewitched, but there are a million books by that name, and I can't remember the author.

I don't remember as much of the plot as I used to, but it's similar to Bewitching by Jill Barnett, but I'm positive that's not the book I read. It's too new and I'm positive of the title (Bewitched). The witch in my book didn't sneeze, either. Also, there was something going on with the witch's family in the book I read. The thing I actually remember most about this book is a sex scene (b/c I was really young and it was the first I'd read). They have somewhat angry sex against a door. I think there's also a sudden wedding, and a Viscount friend of the duke is witness. Like I said, the plot seems similar to Barnett's, but I don't think it's the same book since hers is newer.

Did some research, and only found a couple of books with the Bewitched title, none of which matched your description, however, I came across a series that is white with colored stripes called Silhouette Romance. Hopefully that's something that can lead you in the right direction. Happy hunting and good luck!

Thanks, but those aren't it. This is a pic I made of what I can remember of what the book cover looked like (not the right font or the right number of stripes, and I can't remember what was in the middle, but I think there was something there). http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/404/23598738.png/

Also, I'm pretty sure it wasn't a Harlequin. My mother would not have let me buy it. My parents had no idea what it was about...even I didn't before I got it at a library sale for like a dollar.

I have been on the Internet for hours trying to remember the title of a book I read awhile back but not having any luck.... All I can remember is this young girl is approached by a man who finds her very attractive n tells her that if she continues to do something that when she turns a certain age he will take her to live with him and he will pay for her schooling and stuff and he does and she meets his nephew?? Who gives her the cold shoulder but they end up fallin for each other. If someone could pls figure this out or help me in anyway itd be very appreciated!!

Rlin: You could generate a lot more attention for your query if you posted it as its own thread. If you do so, it's a good idea to include a descriptive title and some basic information -- ya or adult novel, romance, how old the book seemed to you, etc. Anything you can do to help us find your book increases our chances of tracking it down.

That said, I don't know which book you're looking for.

@Phyx: I'm afraid I can't help you either

lol. OMG guys...I feel like an idiot. I just recently checked "Bewitching" on my Nook, and I was still convinced it wasn't the right book because the publish date said 2010, but as I was reading the sample, it just felt so familiar, so I figured I'd read the reviews and see if it was any good. Even if it wasn't the book I remembered, it seemed like it'd be good to read. That's when I saw a review from 2009, did a little research, and found that it was originally published in 1993. I just finished re-reading it. It's definitely my long-lost book! Yay! Thanks everyone for the help...sorry for my own ridiculousness here.
