The poll seems to be going well. If you have not voted yet, there is still time. There are some great choices for our next group read.

The poll for June and July is now closed. We had a very good turnout and the two books which won are Walden (12 votes) and The Golden Notebook (11 votes). Since Walden got the most votes, we will begin that book in June. Thanks to all who participated. I look forward to two excellent reads with you and your comments on each.

I will post a string for Walden on or about June 1st.

Wow, you know I always had this idea that Walden was a really big book, but I've got it from the library, and it isn't that long... That's the strangest thing, I so imagined it to be big and bulky...

I read Walden last year. Even though it physically might not be big and bulky, it felt that way reading it. It took me a very long time to get through it. I kept reading little sections at a time and then putting it down again. Not that it's not a good book, but I think it's one of those that needs to be digested slowly.
