I'm running into a bit of an annoyance that I don't think was the case before. I'm not sure if it's due to the recent cover changes, or due to some other Amazon failure like the recent bug where it wouldn't recognize ISBN-13 in the quick links direct link.
Basically, if I enter books as ISBN13, I'm not getting the default cover for the book. Here's a test case:
1. Go to add books
2. Choose OverCat
3. Search for 9781892391896
4. Add "The Hotel Under the Sand"
5. Click your newly added book
6. Note that it has no cover
7. Click change cover
8. See that there's both a member-uploaded cover and an amazon cover
9. Click Editions
10. See that all the editions have the ISBN 1892391899. This is the ISBN10 equivalent of 9781892391896.
11. Delete this book and go back to add books (still using OverCat)
12. Search for and add 1892391899.
13. Click on your newly added book.
14. Note that it gets the amazon cover.
This seems quite odd to me. If you look at the link for he amazon cover, it's this:
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/P/1892391899.01._SY200_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg
In other words, it's for 1892391899. Shouldn't LT pull this as the cover even if you enter it as ISBN13?
ETA: Cripes, this is frustrating. Entering a stack of books that only have the ISBN13 printed on them. I either get to pick the chore of converting the ISBN13 to ISBN10 on another website, or later having to find the right cover on the cover list (some of the books I entered have multiples). Went for the first option since it's more likely I'll start with the right cover (even if it is stinky old amazon covers). Makes it easier to figure out which member-uploaded cover to pick.

Huh, even weirder. See this book:
http://www.librarything.com/work/8268369/covers/86683177
Note that there is a no cover showing on the top left, but the amazon cover has the green box around it, allegedly meaning it's the cover being used for my book.

CoverThing also thinks I'm using a cover:

I noticed that on one of mine a few days ago. If I remember which one (or find another case) I'll add an example.

Interesting. Confirmed. You can confirm it with a simple manual-add too.
I think it explains a lot. More later.
