A Night in the Lonesome October (narrated a watchdog named Snuff)

P.S. - There are entire mystery series organized around dogs: those by Susan Conant (the human protagonist plus a malamute), Carol Lea Benjamin (a pit bull), Meslissa Cleary (a GSD), and Laurien Berenson (a standard poodle), to name a few. There's also one featuring a basset hound, but I forget the author's name. And have we forgotten the Jack Russell terrier who who used to solve crimes on PBS, Wishbone? I'm sure he was featured in many spin-off books.

Also, I know of other dog mysteries that may have been one-offs. For instance, Wolf at the Door by Ann Campbell.

Do we get credit for listing every title separately? I know some have already been mentioned . . .

Am I overthinking this????
