I have very few things I remember about this book, but it was about a few siblings that set out to find their father who was captured by the "It". The older girl sibling is the main character. Along the way they meet many people, incliding a group of older witches. That is all I remember. Thanks for your help!

It's the 50th anniversary of it so there are lots of new editions with classic covers etc.

I have to chuckle...because this is not some obscure book...over 17,000 members of LibraryThing have it in their libraries.

It is one of my most favorite books...read aloud to my class in 1966 by my 5th grade teacher. It won many, many awards.

Enjoy re-reading it!!
