Maybe I have missed something, but on the German site I can't translate the text on the Ueber Uns (About) page. Same on the French site. Who has access to those pages? Can I contribute?

You may have missed the top page notice:

The remaining part of that page is in English indeed, and not translatable--yet.

I think we need to start opening those up. It will take a lot of work, though. Translating paragraphs is not as easy as doing little snippets.

It would be a big help if the paragraphs can be made to be in the same ORDER as on the actual page...
6timspalding
Yeah, the system doesn't think about the order, unfortunately.

Actually, translating snippets is more difficult. You have to find a snippet that means the same and can be used in a sentence in the same way. In a full sentence, you have more freedom to change the sentence as a whole, which is easier.
Today I tranlsated some snippets, spending time on finding the snippet on the original page because the context determines how it should be translated.

Right. I understand. I assume that people mostly translate in situ. I suppose some hit the page with all the translations.
