I have Under the Never Sky currently in my grubby little hands. I hope it's fantastic :)
3BookLizard
2> I read it a couple of months ago and really enjoyed it.
4scarlatina
I am currently reading Second Glance by Jodi Picoult and so far it keeps me awake at night hoping to get to the middle of the mystery.
5Lcanon
About 2/3rds of the way through Seraphina and loving it although the pace seems to have slowed down slightly.

Just finished Under the Never Sky and I really enjoyed it! Can't wait for the next novel :)
8BookLizard
7> Through the Ever Night is due out January 8th.
9SaraHope
Started Front and Center, latest in the Dairy Queen series by Catherine Gilbert Murdock--I love this series, and so far this book is no exception.
10Danielle.Montgomery
8>> BookLizard: Yeah I saw that! I hope it's really good. I like Ms. Rossi's writing style
11donnao
Current: Clockwork Angel and The Snow Child. On my shelf: Breadcrumbs, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, The Indigo King, and The Boy With the Cuckoo Heart. That should keep me busy for awhile.
12SusieBookworm
Safekeeping by Karen Hesse is up next. I love her historical novels, so it should be interesting to see how she does with sci-fi...
13pwaites
11> I finished Breadcrumbs a week or so ago. It has nice writing, and there are a few enchanting moments, but I didn't find it anything special.
14SusieBookworm
11: The Boy with the Cuckoo Heart looks interesting - I haven't run into much translated fantasy/sci-fi for kids and young adults.
15donnao
13. Sorry to hear that. I'll give it a try, but I find my patience is running short these days. If a book doesn't grab me in less than 10 pages I quit!
16donnao
Started The Indigo King last night. Interesting so far.
17Storeetllr
Finished Anna Dressed in Blood last week, and started The Girl in the Steel Corset last night.
18dmbroark
Angel fall by Susan Ee. Amazing book definitely for the Hunger Games fans. Its on kindle right now for $2.99
21Danielle.Montgomery
Just picked up The Fault in Our Stars. I hear it's a really emotional novel?
22Cailiosa
>@Danielle.Montgomery: I think really emotional novel is probably the understatement of the century. Best grab some tissues now.
24pwaites
21, 22, 23 > Some people must find it more emotional than others. I thought it was sad, but didn't cry at all. However, if you habitually cry when you read sad books or watch sad movies, than yes you'll need tissues.
25SylviaC
And it's not all sad. It is also very funny. I had a hard time finding a good book to read after TFiOS, because it was a hard act to follow.
26Danielle.Montgomery
I am indeed a habitual crier. I won't watch the lion king anymore (and I haven't in about 10 years) because the movie makes me cry at the part where Mufasa dies. How chicken does that make me, right?
But now I will definitely get some tissue. And I'm also glad to know it's funny. I don't know if I'll be able to get through a super sad story without some kind of brightness at some point.
On the other hand, I just finished Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins and I really loved it :)

I finally got around to reading Shine by Lauren Myracle. It was wonderful! Also finished Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. It was as good as everyone says.
28Danielle.Montgomery
Omg! I really wanted to read Throne of Glass. I saw it at BN but I didn't pick it up because, although the cover was beautiful, I wanted to see how it was received before I spent the money on it
29foggidawn
I just finished Palace of Stone, sequel to Princess Academy, and I really liked it.
30Danielle.Montgomery
I think I read Princess Academy years and years ago! And I thought it was very cute :)
31jnwelch
Ship Breaker by Paolo Bacigalupi was a good YA novel set in an environmentally impaired future Earth.
32Danielle.Montgomery
Eon: Dragoneye Reborn by Alison Goodman was a very good adaptation of the Eastern Asian culture into a fantasy adventure YA novel. Good read!
33pwaites
I'm reading Stargirl. I've heard about it before, but this is my first time reading it. I also finished The Selection yesterday. I have to say, the cover is better than the book.
34donnao
Finished The Magician's Guild. Still listening to an audio cd of Clockwork Angel.
35Danielle.Montgomery
pwaites: I totally agree about The Selection. The cover is definitely better than the book. I thought the book was pretty average in the realm of YAs.
donnao: I keep wanting to pick up Clockwork Angel! I think I will eventually and hopefully it'll be as wonderful for me as it seems to be for everyone else ^_^

I'm reading The False Prince. A page-turner so far.
37MerryMary
Nearly finished with Every Other Inch a Lady by Bea Lillie. A well-written autobio with lots of smiles and quite a few laughs. I love old-time show business.
38BookLizard
Finished The False Prince by Jennifer Nielsen. Really enjoyed it. Would recommend it to fans of Megan Whalen Turner's The Thief.
39lollipopszx3
So far, I've read Genesis Alpha, Soft Targets, Summer, The Lightning Thief, and The Great Gatsby.
I'm trying to get through The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Me and Earl and the Dying Girl before September's over.
Also all of Fairy Tail ^_^

I just finished Silence by Michelle Sagara. I had trouble getting through the first half of the book and actually put it aside for several weeks but read the second half in one sitting.
41Lcanon
Finished A Greyhound of a girl, which was pretty good, although it would have you believe that Irish people say "It's grand" every other sentence (maybe they do.) Now reading Anna and the French Kiss.
42alyssa_
I have started reading Coexist: Keegan's Chronicles by Julia Crane. A story about elves, love and destiny, and conflict between good and evil. So far, I am hooked on it. The book is well written and the story keeps you on the edge all the time. I can't wait to read the other books of the series: Conflicted and Consumed. :)
43Kwidhalm
I'm currently reading my ER win The Memory Thief and while it is not a YA novel it is VERY good! So far the best ER book that I have received. Woot! Woot!
44SusieBookworm
I'm about to start The Order of Odd-Fish by James Kennedy.
45Danielle.Montgomery
Just finished Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins. Starting on Spell Bound now :)
46sandyg210
I'm reading The Far West by Patricia C Wrede.
47kceccato
I read multiple books at once, and in my rotation I keep a slot open for YA fantasy. I just finished with Furlong's Wise Child; now I'm going to pick up The Emperor Mage, third in Tamora Pierce's Immortals series. Last month my YA book was Leviathan.
Though I enjoy speculative fiction of all kinds, I'm drawn to the optimism that animates a good deal of YA fantasy. Optimism and depth/insight are not automatically antithetical.

I just finsihed reading Glow & The Goddess Test, which i am still in waiting for the sequels of from my local library. Also finished Identical recently which is incredibly mature for a Young Adult but still amazing nonetheless. :)
50Cailiosa
@sandyg210: I'm re-reading The Raven Boys for the third time, too. It's so good and I'm so thankful I finally have a book to hold in my hand instead of having to read it on the computer screen.
51Cailiosa
Today I received a copy of Rae Carson's Crown of Embers through the staff order at the library I work at and I cannot wait to dig into it. I have heard so many good things about this book and I loved the first one in the series. It'll have to wait until I finish my re-read of The Raven Boys, though.
52Sakerfalcon
I borrowed Firespell from the library and finished it last night. One of the better "supernatural goings-on at boarding school" books I've read, but I've no real desire to read the sequels.
53Danielle.Montgomery
I was so annoyed at Glow at the end of the book. So annoyed.
54Danielle.Montgomery
Cailiosa: I am so jealous of your Crown of Embers!!! So jealous!! Like....so jealous. This series is one of those that I'm eagerly anticipating :)
55CurrerBell
I've just finished Malcolm at Midnight and The Second Spy. I'm doing some catch-up on YA reading since I spent August on ALL VIRAGO/ALL AUGUST and most of this past month on Juliet Barker's massive The Brontes: Wild Genius on the Moors.
I've definitely got to get to The Demigod Diaries, considering that The Mark of Athena is coming out next Tuesday.

56Danielle.Montgomery
CurrerBell: Wow you've been seriously busy!
57Cailiosa
@Danielle: I hope I will have good things to report about Crown of Embers when I get around to reading it. Hopefully you can get your hands on it soon, too!
58Danielle.Montgomery
@Cailiosa: omg I can't believe I didn't even realize it was out already! That'll be on my list for the next book to buy ^_^
59ellenflorman
I just finished Wonder by R.J. Palacio. It is an amazing debut novel. Highly recommneded!
60Cailiosa
@Danielle.Montgomery: Having just finished Crown of Embers last night, I must say you need to run, not walk, to your nearest bookstore or hop online as fast as you can to buy it. It was really probably one of the best books I've read this year and I can say this coming off the high of The Raven Boys, which I adored for completely different reasons.
Elisa is the very picture of a strong female character, even though you can see that she has room still to grow and mature, especially in the confidence department. The romance was completely believable (and whoa nelly was the swoon factor off the chart) and that's not something you can always say in YA fiction. Sometimes I think authors include romance just because that's what they think their readers want, but in this case I could see why these two people were so desperately in love with one another. This book had me laughing and crying both sad and happy tears and giving it a stern talking to, all of which is generally a good sign.
The only bad thing about all of this is that the next book I'm going to read is going to suck in comparison. I think I'm going to go back and read the first book, then read this again and then move on to something else. Hopefully by the time I've done that, my copy of Quintana of Charyn will have arrived.
ETA: Can I just say how nice it is for a pair of people to profess love for another not because that other person is hot, but because of their strength of character? Because that's really nice.

I've started Summer and Bird by Katherine Catmull for Early Reviewers. It's not terribly interesting so far, so I wonder how the author's going to keep going for another 250 pages.
62AngelaCinVA
After going back to revisit Tamora Pierce's Protector of the Small series on audio (love her books!), I've just finished The Raven Boys and Carnival of Souls. It took me a little while to get into The Raven Boys. I didn't connect with the characters at first. But it really picked up at the end and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Carnival of Souls, on the other hand, had me from the beginning. Each of the characters was intriguing in their own right. I keep thinking about the story and can't wait to read the next installment!
>60 Cailiosa: I am so impatient, waiting for my copy of Crown of Embers to arrive from the library!!! Quintana of Charyn is another I can't wait to get my hands on! All else will come to a complete halt while I read those.
