I've been keeping an eye on The Burgess Boys for a few days, and though it has 8 ratings, neither the group rating nor the ratings breakdown is showing any entries.

Now it's got 9 ratings, still not showing the average or the graph of ratings.

I am watching this book The Cornerstone by anne c. petty and it has not moved for days.

I've got The Cornerstone as an Early Review. Yesterday I wrote the review and also did a rating (stars). Now, the avarage rating stars shows 5 stars and it's still the same since more than a week even though 13 ratings have been done since.
My question is: Is something wrong with the system that it doesn't work correctly?

Along these same lines, I have an Early Reviewers copy of The Burning Time by JG Flaherty and I noticed that it has a 5-star rating even though it has not been rated 5 stars by any member.

Rating doesn't work.

I read many books for which I am the first or second rater, and at least since January 3, ratings are not recorded.

5> Actually, it has - of the 8 reviews, 7 have ratings and one of those (not the earliest, or the latest) is 5 star. Why that one's showing (if that is the source of the single rating), I don't know...

@7: If you go to the "Members" page for The Burning Time, you'll see all of the ratings by star. Oddly, users JournalStone and CindyHoldmann are listed above the 4-star level, but the 5-star graphic is not visible. In fact, inspecting the source code, there's no IMG tag at all for the 5-star members.

There are, by the way, 10 ratings, with a 3.75 average.

The Burgess Boys now has at least 16 ratings but shows no average rating or bar graph of ratings. Another I've noticed: Three Graves Full, which has at least three ratings. I say "at least" because while it's possible to see ratings in reviews, who knows how many ratings have been added by people who haven't reviewed a title with this problem?

Is there a better place to ask about this problem? Is it being worked on?

It's on Tim's list to fix.

>10 jbd1: Thanks Jeremy, but Tim's list is long. Any chance of a fix within the next two weeks?
As the feature is prominent on every work page and used to work just fine until recently, a fix seems to me both of high priority and not requiring much time to fix.

I also have noticed this. On http://www.librarything.com/work/13073009/book/93127503
there are several one star reviews, but it only shows the 5 star reviews on the graph, and the overall star rating as 5 stars.

The Beach at Galle Road is also not reflecting recent reviews/ratings on the ratings sidebar and average rating. Glad to know Tim will be working on it.

Maybe this issue needs work like the tag update, i.e, every 2 weeks.

One of the nicest things about LibraryThing in my opinion is to rate a work and see the average rating of this work change.

I mentioned the rating problem two weeks ago and sent a message about it to Chris Catalfo. Untill now I didn't get an answer. Maybe I wasn't at the right address, but it would be nice to have this function restored.

LibraryThing, can you finally fix this?

Check out average rating for The Dick Gibson Show. 2x4, 1x3.5, 7x3, 1x2.5, 2x2. Average = 2.93? I am the only new review and mine is one of the threes, so it can't be what I first thought, which was a delay in calculating. Maybe it is caused by private collections with ratings I can't see? Maybe those should show as anon or private along with the other members.

This should be back to normal now. Thanks, and sorry for the delay.
