James Alexander Holden, whose saddlery eventually became the Australian subsidiary of General Motors. Visiting Melbourne and seeing what one thinks of as Opels and Chevys branded Holden is somewhat disconcerting, until one remembers seeing some of the same cars in London as Vauxhalls.
