I guess that the hammer of verification will not see use this time. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/02/11/us-pope-confirm-idUSBRE91A0A120130211

Strange from a man who has turned out a series of books on the founding fathers of the Church during his service as Pope.

There are already two threads on this in two different groups. Can I suggest that we keep the conversation in the Christianity group on the original one?

But whichever thread one follows, perhaps some one could put in a good word for the praiseworthy custom of looting the home of the new Pontiff-elect. Seems there's so little being done in the way of wealth-distribution these days. Just joking -- or am I? These old cradle-Anglican bones aren't likely to move in new directions at this point. Peace to all (really NOT kidding about that), -- Goddard

Six threads in four groups at last count! Well, Catholic or not, and whatever one thinks of the man personally or theologically, it is a major event.
