best-seller about a group of men getting their money back from a conman in the stock market industry

The antagonist is a con man, basically, who gets some people to invest in stock-market.. on a company which, he claims, is about to strike an oil reserve. he says that the price of shares will increase as soon as the company announces this, and that they can make lots of profit. But the company never actually strikes any oil, and soon, there is no one who wishes to buy these shares.. The men who invested in the company are tricked... They meet up, somehow, and plan to retrieve the money by using some tricks of their own. The con man goes to Wimbledon every year, and he has a fixed schedule there.. The story goes on how these men manage to get their money back. And if I remember correctly, one of these men is named Steve or Stephen.

Yeah, I know that I haven't been able to describe the book very well, but I loved it and would like to read it again.. And I do remember that it had "best-seller" written on its cover.

P.S. : I don't think I described the antagonist quite accurately... he is a rich man, and he has got his influences within the stock-market.. he gets to know of the rise or drop is share prices before the rise or drop happens...

I loved the bike: "Elthelred the Unsteady" (as a play on the British Monarch).
