I thought it the best of the last three DT books that came out in a flurry in 2003/2004. Stylistically, it breathed fresh air into a series that had gone stale for me. 5/8 in series ranking. (4/8 is you count the revised book one instead of the original.)

I read this book last month. After reading each of the previous Dark Tower books, I felt like taking a break before reading the next one. That was not the case with Song of Susannah. I am currently reading the Dark Tower VII. The series is reminding me of the television show Lost: the feel, plot, scenarios, ka? of the whole thing. I started the series in 2010, checking all out of my home town library. I haven't been able to "enjoy" the series as others have - the long wait from the first to last book. Not sure if "enjoy" is the right word though...

I need to find this one. It's either at home or at the office in a box.

Well, I didn't like this one quite as much as the previous in the series, but only because the gang's split up again, and I think these books work best when they're all together. That being said, the ending is a doozy and it ends on another cliffhanger...a problem which I anxiously look forward to being resolved in the final book.
