For me much of this article (or more exactly Pitzer's book, as it is described here) is a somewhat irritating and maybe disingenuous rehash.

But it still makes me want to check out Mister Morn.

Anybody read it?

I saw it at a book store recently and perused. Waiting for the library system copy to arrive. Might buy when the paperback comes out...

Its answer to the question of whether the play is likely to see production on stage is an expected "no." But maybe it would lend itself to an informal dramatic reading in someone's living room. I've enjoyed doing a number of Shakespeare plays that way in times past.

4: There is a handsome two-fer edition of Mr Morn and Lolita: a screenplay, published by Penguin. Of everything, it seems Nabokov's drama (like that of Henry James) is highly under-appreciated.
