I'm suprised at how many I have already read and also suprised at how many of these book have left a lasting impression on me. Some of these books like Jane Eyre and The Satanic Verses I read in my late teens. And these books blew my mind. There are also books like The Crying of lot 49 which were not as momentus for me. But it is funny that more than 10 years later all I need to do the see that title and and extremely vivd memory of reading that book (and thinking wow this is weird) comes to me. Where as there are books that I read a couple of months ago that I can only just remember.
