He's one of those actors not many people know by name, but whose face and manner few forget. To my mind, the best--the only (tele)visual Lord Peter ever. *fangirl*
I thought other fans might like to know, if they don't already, that he has a personal YouTube account where he uploads his videos, poetry, readings, clips from films (including the Wimsey series) etc.

Sorry to disagree, but Petherbridge just didn't manage it for me.
I thought he was too old, not spry and athletic enough (you could tell by the way he moved, let alone them getting Bunter to do the horse-riding for him). I thought him too dignified - he just didn't have that 'silly ass' camouflage at all - quite lacking the comedic element.
On the other hand, I'm now quite incapable of reading about Harriet Vane without seeing Harriet Walter in my mind's eye.
