Ok, I will admit that I´m not sure whether I´m the kind of person for a book challenge, but I´ll try anyway, there are too many books (classics) that I should read so maybe a book challenge will help me with that. I will first read 25 books, hopefully during this summer and will probably add 25 more after that.

July

1. Less than Zero - Bret Easton Ellis
This novel really got me, the minimalistic writing, the whole ambiance, I love this book! (208p)

2. As I Lay Dying - William Faulkner
What shall I say about this book? I can see why many people would think it´s great, but it´s just not for me I guess. I will definately try other books by Faulkner to see if I´m wrong... any suggestions? (261p)

That's quite a contrast between Bret Easton Ellis and William Faulkner . But if you're up for another Faulkner, I would recommend The Sound and the Fury, definitely a classic of US literature. It's possible, though, that you'll never like Faulkner, and that's OK -- we can't all like every author, even if they're considered great.

Yeah quite the contrast haha. Well, it´s not exactly that I don´t like his work, it´s just that I don´t really enjoy reading it. I can see why he´s considered great, just not my cup of tea I guess. What about Absalom, Absalom!? I think I´ll try The Sound and the Fury after I´ve completed The Catcher in the Rye.

Next books I´ll read:
The Catcher in the Rye - J.D. Salinger
Hamlet - Shakespeare
The Sound and the Fury - William Faulkner

Ok so I went to Waterstones today and book addicted as I am I bought two new books: Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevski and The Old Man and the Sea by my favourite author Hemingway. I´m at work and bored so I´ll probably get back to you about the second one tonight...
