Is Speaking from Among the Bones the paperback? I gasped when I saw it thinking that it was the next one, The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches, set to come out in January.
Thanks Lorannen and congrats on the job!

Wow! 4 real books this month to choose from - including one I want. Also an e-book I'm really interested in.

Incidentally, either the media filter (i.e. "paper only") is not working 100%, or publishers are sometimes mislabeling their works - The Bluffer's Guide to Opera is listed as a paper book, without the usual warning, just a line in the description that "This is an EPUB file".

I've requested a couple of fiction books this month, and may go back and add or delete. There are a couple of memoirs that look interesting to me, too, but at this very second, I'm in the mood for fiction.
Thanks to Loranne, LT, and all the publishers who participate.

Nice selection. I found four very different books that interest me.

Will be asking for just one this month but I want it very very bad so keeping my fingers crossed it's worked before when only asking for one...The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion: A Novel by Fannie Flagg

>4 lorax:: Good catch! That was one that I was thinking of requesting, but I'm a lot less interested in receiving an e-book

Well ... there were a number that I was interested in requesting ... plus two that I took a pass on simply because I'd been generally disappointed by other books from the publisher!

Paper or E? I clicked the Publisher information link to verify the format but the link doesn't work.

skunked two months in a row. oh well it is getting to that time of the year when not many publishers are looking to put out books in my specialized area of interest.

Thanks Loranne! Just so you know, the profile message I got about the October batch says that it was posted by Jeremy.

Wow, 4th month in a row that I've requested absolutely nothing :-( Hoooooopefully next month will have a better selection for us Canadians!!! :-)

Why on earth is The Warded Man on the list? It's not a new release. I won it from ER five years ago when the hardcover came out, and even the paperback's been out for three years.
That said, this time around there are actually two books that interest me.

Haven't requested anything since May (when I won Encyclopedia of the Environment in American Literature), but there are several good ones up there this month, including Alison Weir's Elizabeth of York. I'm going to pass on it, though, because there's one that looks extremely interesting but isn't something I'd otherwise buy. I think I'll just go for that one alone and see what happens. (Hint about what it is: I'm wondering if it includes anything about Clarisse LaRue, my favorite character in the Percy Jackson series.)

Welcome, Lorannen!
I only chose one to request last month (Confessions of Marie Antoinette), but this month I've found 6 that interest me! Perhaps I can narrow it down over the coming weeks.

Very excited that the new Charles Finch book is on the list! Crossing my fingers that I get it...
