Very clever categories, Samantha. Looking forward to seeing you fill them and seeing which category has the most books at year's end!

Honestly, this may be my very favorite challenge theme of 2014! Love the Shakespearean sonnet idea so much, I may have to find some way to steal adapt it in the future!

Great idea! I particularly like your weather category :)
23MissWatson
Indeed, this is a great idea. And a lovely sonnet.
24PawsforThought
Great theme with great categories. Looking forward to this.
25lkernagh
What a beautiful way to come up with your categories! Looking forward to following your reading.
27LittleTaiko
How wonderfully creative! Nice to not set any particular targets and see which category naturally wins. Might have to use that idea sometime.
29mamzel
fools of time, Serial That one made me smile. Thanks for getting me to read a sonnet which I would not have otherwise since I have such an aversion to poetry. Have a great year!

Oh! This is so cool! I wish I had thought of it! I'm looking forward to following your progress :-)

I'm catching up and have you starred now so I can find you easily in 2014. Love the sonnet idea.

I hope you like The Man in the Brown Suit! It's one of Agatha's stand-alones so perhaps not one of my most favourites, but it is certainly interesting.

True! I was thinking of Anne what's her face as the "main" detective. Forgot about the poor Col.

Good to know that the Jamie Oliver book is one I should be looking for!

I think as Jamie Oliver has aged and become a family man himself, his concerns with cooking are less "chef" like and more in line with what the average person is really preparing. I am a big fan of his "30 Minute Meals".

I really like Jame Oliver's really early books - when he was still mostly known as The Naked Chef. I liked the philosophy os making recipes simple and not overloading on ingredients but letting everything stand on its own.

I really enjoyed watching his series. He made things look simple and down-to-earth but delicious! He has such a cute smile, too. Easy peasy!
51LittleTaiko
Love Jamie Oliver's cookbooks. Happy to see this latest is worthwhile too.

>56 Samantha_kathy: It seems promising so it's going on the BB list.

I have The Book of Chameleons on Mt. TBR, so I'm only skimming your review, but it looks like something I'll like.

Great! Well, after reading that, I want to pick it up next, obviously, but I will have to attack my ER-books first to not anger those gods. :)

I'm glad you found a book that you really loved, especially after three DNFs!

I read the first sentence in that review and stopped after that since I've yet to read my copy, but the words "loved, loved, loved" made me very happy to see!

Nice to see you've had a five star read! That's great. I have a friend named John Dunning, unfortunately he isn't the author of your book.

Good to know - no reading the blurb! :) The book has been on Mt. TBR since 2009 and I'm sure I read the blurb back then, but obviously have no idea now what it said.

Hm, yes, that particular MacLean is rather low on my priority list! Parts of that storyline also sound similar to Athabasca, which was underwhelming for me. Pity. The cover makes it look so exciting!
