OK! I am now reading the 3rd volume of the short stories & then I will have to get my hands on the novels. Of course I watch "Sherlock" on PBS & even watched "Elementary" on CBS the other night - guess I am Sherlocked!

Well I believe that The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes is the only part of the Sherlockian canon that I have yet to read & & I have now read 3 of Laurie R. King Mary Russell & Sherlock Holmes
series with quite a few left to go! It should keep me pacified until the new "Sherlock" series begins! Has any one else read any ofLaurie R. King's books yet?

>4 Vanye: I have read all of the Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes, and keep them on my top shelf of mysteries to reread now and then. :)

#5 Mrs. Lee: I am going to have to read the rest of them as ebooks as the library does not have most of them as physical books!

I have been able to get hold of some of the missing titles by going to a local used book store which takes used books in trade @50% of original price in return for credit on other used books. So I may get to read all or most of the series I love most!
I don't know if anyone else has read any of Laurie R. Kings Mary Russell series which feature the title character & a retired Sherlock Holmes in the best 'fan fiction' I have ever read!!

#7 Yes, I agree with you about Laurie R. King's Mary Russell series. In fact, I can't think of any other continuation by a new author of a beloved series which I like at all. I was so surprised to like King's.
