Not reading a fantasy at this time, but I thought I'd get the new topic started.

Thanks for starting the thread @seitherin.

I'm currently located in the invisible nation of Idris while reading City of Glass. I expect this to be my last Mortal Instruments book even though I could easily read the fourth, but from what I've heard from a few co-workers the six books are divided into two trilogies so I'm at least going to see how the first ends.

Walking within the walls of Elantris amongst the cursed Elantrian's. My very first experience with Brandon Sanderson after reading so much praise about his work.

He already has me convinced after three chapters.

After that ending it is straight to Allegiant for me.

Wondering if it's worth shouting, "Guards! Guards!", while attempting to survive the mean streets of Ankh-Morpork.

Having had a myth bath with Silently and Very Fast, I'm venturing into Faerie with Blood and Iron. I must remember I will only ever get 3 chances. I must ensure I do not eat or drink unless it is given freely and without obligation. I must not stray off the path. I must be courteous, but not trusting. I... am never going to remember all the rules :)

I'm reading The Mirror Empire by Kameron Hurley and really enjoying it so far. There's a lot going on and some really interesting concepts and magic systems in play.

>17 tottman: that's perched on TBR. I'm really looking forward to sinking my teeth into it.

Started Dreamer's Pool by Juliet Marillier. So far I like it better than the more recent Sevenwaters books.

Rereading LOTR for the umpteenth time. Over the decades I've reduced from almost constant rereading (starting in 1960) to every year or so, down to every 3 or 4 years. Even though I'm a re-reader of many favorites, I'm sure I've read this far more times than anything else. Just left Lorien.

I've started Perdido street station. I'm usually not someone who notices the language in a book, except perhaps negatively (as in: it annoys me and draws me out of the story), but in this case I really like some of the turns of phrase China Mieville comes up with...

I'm venturing to a galaxy far, far away in William Shakespeare's Star Wars: Verily, A New Hope. While not exactly fantasy, the Shakespearean spin on the science fiction classic makes one imagine the film brought to stage at the end of the 16th century.

I'm reading Uprooted.
