Speed and changes

Tim's mentioned on various Bug collector reports that he's introduced some changes to speed things up, "search is going to get *insanely* faster"
etc. Has anyone come acorss a mention of what was changed, or is it all background stuff?

(Search still seems about the same to me currenty?)

His message said that tomorrow search would be faster :)
