Help me please. I read his graphic novels in the Sandman series. How are his novels?

I too knew Gaiman from his comics, and was a bit dubious about his jump. However, I enjoy his novels just as much. I you are a fan of Sandman, give it a go. I will say, that the first novel I read of his was 'The Graveyard Book', and as I am a fan of what is horrendously labeled 'young adult' literature, I truly enjoyed it, and sought out more.

I've read American Gods and Stardust - both I enjoyed thoroughly. I'm reliably informed that Neverwhere is even better than those two, but my book hasn't arrived yet so I can't confirm.

It's not a book that interests me but I do like the color.
