I have an illustrated edition of Tennyson's "The Lady of Shalott" that belongs to a publisher series called "Visions in Poetry." The series is correctly entered as a publisher series in CK, but when I go to that series page here:
https://www.librarything.com/publisherseries/Visions+in+Poetry
it displays a different edition's cover. Any way for me to force the correct one?

No, the premise of a publisher series is to collect A publisher's particular edition of works that may have been published many times before/after. I expect that a publisher series of works would have a similar theme or style of cover, format, typeface etc... and as such it would be good to see the correct cover displayed.

What bernsad said.
It would be a new feature, and probably not easily done. I suspect you'd have to enter Publisher series name not only on the workpage, but also as an element on each cover used for that publisher series, on that work.
Then you'd have to deal with re-issued publisher series, which often comes with new cover art.

Is that one particular work you are referring to? I'd like to take a look if you have a link please.

Interesting, thanks. Surely with the publication info currently in each book record the possibility exists that they could be separated if we ever get an edition level.

I do know this but a publisher series can be considered a distinct collection and could be distinguished at some level.

The way I understand it is editions could exist as sub units and a number of editions would still equal the work that we have now. But an edition would equate to the book you have in your hand that I might have an identical copy of. That could have publisher, pub. date, cover, no. of pages etc etc etc.... that would be distinguishable.

Which will allow for this edition to be selected when specifying that a book is part of a Publisher series (wishful thinking, I know but once we have the editions, this will be doable if Tim decides to implement). Then the code will know which cover to pick in the Publisher series page.

So.... appears to be tricky and not currently possible, but maybe a future possibility (although I won't hold my breath -- this is why I also put the publisher series in my tags, so I can click and get them pictured together whenever I want).
Thanks! You guys have a better understanding on LT's real innards than I do.
I hope it's possible someday!
