Someday, someday, maybe was fun. I don't know anything about being an aspiring actress. I don't think I would have enjoyed it. For one thing, you have to let them cover your face with makeup...

BTW Other people are allowed to open the monthly topics. I just do it because I'm set to post and noone else has done it yet.

a book about language
Oh, I almost forgot. I finished a book for the language square: So spricht und feiert Schleswig-Holstein, an A-Z of characteristic words and expressions in my neck of the wood. My fourth Bingo.

Schön. I have similar books for Viennese.

You're getting close.

I'm counting A nearly infallible History of Christianity as a genre bender. It is both a very good history of Christianity and a very funny book of humour. Not an everyday combination. Note: the humour is very British.

a book with scientists

I've decided to count Die Elemente for this square, a lavish coffee table book describing all the elements of the periodic table. Full of fun facts, and it also names a few scientists who discovered them or for whom they were named. Together with Pure from the August History CAT it also gives me another Bingo. Only four more squares to go for a full Bingo.

1783 - Europe wide toxic fog
1883 - Krakatau

I read The Dog Stars by Peter Heller and it is perfect for the "An Animal Is of Importance" square.
