I thought the code was for non-members only.Well I don't know,I just remember seeing something like 10% or 20% off for non-members.That was 3 months ago.

Good for you! :)

There's a code for members who ordered from the September collection, on the magazine, one use only. 20%.

5gmacaree

When does the code expire?

6Caroline_McElwee

Expires end of November.

Did anyone else get the Buy one get one free voucher?

I'm considering using it combined with my two unexpired vouchers of free expedited shipping and 85% off total bill

What is the code for 20% discount? Is it the same for everyone?

Thanks

I believe the 20% off has finished and was only for members.
I suspect that some members are getting a voucher with their orders for other discounts.

>11 wcarter: I am a member, and have placed numerous orders this past year. I mostly mean the free shipping vouchers, or the buy one get one deal. Oh well.

FWIW, retailmenot.com, as well as other sites, tries to list any current discount codes. Typing Folio Society in the search box at the top shows a 10% coupon that at least some people have had success with. (It also shows a 20% coupon that apparently no longer works.) The site also shows current "sale" items using a purple icon as well as the green coupon icons. I use this site for everything I buy online, and no, I'm not associated with them in any way.

I'll try the 10 percent one! Thanks!

The code is given in the September Folio magazine which members should imminently be receiving. It is G20PFM, valid for one use only before the end of November. Use it wisely! ;-)

The caveat (other than being restricted to one use) is that it will not be valid on the Christmas 2015 collection, though it does appear to be valid on September 2015 books.

Meanwhile, I am still searching for the elusive '85% off total bill including LEs' voucher....But I suppose this will do in the meantime!

I never get mail from Folio, unless it's something I ordered lol. Is there some option somewhere that I need to tick, or should I just contact them and ask them what's up? I'm afraid that I'm missing out on all sorts of vouchers and coupons and whatnot.

>15 RHalley63:
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I called Folio this morning to place my very large order (let's just say it will require 10 payments). I needed to call because I wanted to get a substitute for the Autumn book since one of the options (Stuart Little) was on my wish list anyway. The customer service rep arranged the substitution (something that cannot be done on-line) and applied the 20% code saving me quite a bit. The voucher and the capped shipping put me over on several high-priced items I had previously dithered on. With savings of 23% to 36% on individual titles, and shallower official sale discounts (Christmas Sale, New Year's Sale, Spring Sale, Summer Sale), I figured this was about the cheapest the books could be obtained direct from Folio (though several titles I imagine could be had ultimately on the secondary market for less...but that is a bit of a gamble on both price and availability).

So I can confirm the 20% code works (I'm in the US) on both September Collection items as well as the back-catalog. I assume it does not work on Limited Editions...I didn't even try.

Thanks for confirming! I didn't try because they never do! I did use the $120 voucher from earlier this summer to finally get Metamorphoses. I am still not completely sold on the tipped in illustrations which seem to be falling out of the book, but I doubt I will regret purchasing it in the long run.

I almost wonder if it's worth calling them up and asking them to apply the 20% on the September collection order I made ...

How recently? I think it is always worth a try. The customer service reps are always willing to bend over backwards. The issue will be if their system allows it which I doubt. But maybe they can cancel the old order (if it hasn't shipped) and put it in again using the code this time. I would be very surprised if they have a way to credit you for a previous order and have never heard of them doing this before.

My order has shipped so I'm stuck. Too bad though, I would have loved to use that code on my order! Will see if there are any sales from now through November.

It's been a while and I doubt it would work (although as far as I can tell my order hasn't shipped). C'est la vie -- I'll just have to work out some way to get my money's worth on a different order :)

>18 UK_History_Fan:, >26 Bookworm59: You are very welcome! I am happy others are able to put the code to good use.

I also just missed out on using the voucher for my order from the September collection, which I placed late Sunday. Alas. I am consoling myself by thinking of the next order I shall be spurred on to make in order to take advantage of the 20% off....Though I don't think it will be quite so ambitious as UK_History_Fan's!

Hi I see I your post you mentioned there are other options instead of the autumn book did you see this in the magazine? I'm currently compiling my next order to take advantage of the 20 percent off 😆

Hello, maybe I can help - I've not seen the option to replace the Autumn Anthology in the Sept. Member Preview magazine (sadly, neither did my magazine offer a 20% off coupon though). However, I called them and requested if this substitution was possible. Yes, they do have a list of substitutions available for those who wish to substitute. I decided to keep the Anthology after all. I would advise calling them!

>2 ExportFrisian:

Where did this 50% coupon come from, I do not know if I have ever heard of such a coupon.

I for my part had decided initially not to order anything just yet from the current new collection, but the 20% coupon paired with a possibility to swap the Autumn volume, in addition to the current reducution on the new collection AND the caped shipping costs makes this a bit harder to resist.

I have an additional question that might not be able to ask in a seperat thread but is the capped shipping something that is going to last for this membership year or is it just for the time being.

Once you become a member do some vouchers stop working? Seems like when I first started there were several voucher numbers etc on the site (codes to get 20% off all sci fi books, codes to get 20% off all mysteries, a code to get 5 pounds off ALL books) but once I became a member all these codes disappeared :( Now lots of books I could have gotten 10 or 20 percent off on before membership are only available full price.

RHalley63 thank you so much for the voucher code! I saw today that the handmaids tale is at 25% off and of limited stock so it was the perfect opportunity as I have had my eye on it for a while! I also took advantage of the 20% to start my collection of The Lang Fairy Books, in it for the long haul now! Olive and Red here we go...

>32 NiecyG: Thank you for mentioning Handmaid's Tail being so low in stock. I have to jump on it. Its already on sale, so the 20% on top effectively made the shipping free.

You're more than welcome! By limited stock its says 205, I don't how quickly it will sell out but with the 25% and extra 20% I didn't want to take the chance ;)

I'm just waiting for confirmation that the book swap I want for Autumn (I like the look of it enough to get one, not two!) and then I'll drift in for The Handmaid's Tale/A Story As Sharp As A Knife
