I am looking for the name of a romance book! A you g Scottish girl is kidnapped and placed on a slave ship to America, she fights with one of the girls on board, she is purchased by a man to look after his young son, he is widowed, she remembers how to cook from watching the families cook. She was engaged to a Marquis, who's grandmother doesn't think she is good enough for him so she is the one who arranges her kidnapping, in the American town there is a disfigured man who she is kind to him. The towns blacksmiths daughter wanted the boat builder and she killed his first wife. The Marquis comes looking for her finds her and wants her back her parents eventually find her as well, another American family is visiting and they have Twin girls they are there looking to purchase the boat he is building. The Marquis finally realizes that she loves the boat builder and goes to visit family with the twins. His father is an English lord and he comes to visit and forgives his son. His dad and her parents move to America to be close to them. I loved this book and would love to reread it but can't remember who wrote it or the name, if anyone could help me it would be great Thank you.
I think the cover had a red haired girl wearing a riding habit
