Arrows of the queen Fits the SFFFCAT. That gives me a BINGO on this card.

I've just finished The Templar Legacy by Steve Berry for my prophecies, signs, or portents are important block. That just leaves me one more block.

I finished Frankenstein which is written as a sequence of letters. Another BINGO for me. Only three more books to go.

Solar This was a horrible book about a (horrible) scientist.

So far in October I've completed three Bingo squares: Bound by Jo Napoli (based on a fairy tale); The Abominables by Eva Ibbotson (mythical creature); and A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood (LBGTQ).

This is my second Bingo card. Six books needed to finish this one.

>6 VivienneR: I'm right there with you Vivienne. I just completed the LBGTQ square with Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistle Stop Cafe which gives me 5 squares to go on my 2nd Bingo Card.

>7 DeltaQueen50: Snap! I just finished the remaining stories in More Ghost Stories of Alberta by Barbara Smith that knocks off the prophecies and portents square, leaving five to go. Most of the stories were not bad but have to be spread out over time, otherwise they all sound the same.

I finished Anne of Green Gables for the reminds me of childhood square. I have 2 in process, Tell the Wolves I'm Home for the LBGTQ square and Song of the Lark for the 1915 square. I'm still on the first Bingo card!

I finished The Gabriel Hounds by Mary Stewart for the "author shares your ancestor's first name" square -- both my grandmothers are named Mary. This was my final square on my first Bingo card, so I am officially calling Bingo!

Bend it like Beckham is based on the film of the same name, but doesn't do it justice.

Forgot to post here. I read Gap Creek for the "has a natural disaster" block although the natural disaster wasn't a big part of the plot. That finishes my Bingo card.

Ich liebe dich nicht aber ich möchte es mal können is a mother's book about her autistic son. (For two Bingos.)

I thought I'd take the easy way out and pick a short one for the LBGTQ square: Der Tod in Venedig. I should have known better. Even when short, Thomas Mann is never easy. Still, it's another Bingo and only one square left to fill my card.
