a childrens book about a boy who lives in a badger hole

I dont remember a lot about the book other than what the title says. I believe the boy was either lost or ran away from home and is adopted by a female badger who had possibly lost her offspring. I believe she gets caught in a trap at some point but gets free. I think he is found at the end by his parents or some other adults. I can not think of the title to save my life.
