Hi, I only recently discovered this group and I really have enjoyed reading some of the category challenge threads over the last few days
I thought I would join in for 2016 and focus on reading books that have won awards. I've chosen 8 different categories and I'm aiming for 5 books in each category, so 40 in total, leaving me room to keep plugging away at the 1001 books challenge.
I'm looking forward to discovering some new authors and great books. Not sure how the wiki works though if someone could explain that would be great, thanks.

I am a little late with my "Welcome to the challenge"! Better late than never. ;-)
I am a big reader of translated, debut and historical fiction so I will be looking forward to any 'new-to-me' books you may read. Your Controversial category has also caught my eye. Looking forward to following your 2016 reading.

thanks for the welcomes, I've got a huge list of possibles I'm working through and I've started listing the ones I've decided to read. I've had a great time researching for this and reading other peoples lists.
I think I might change my 'other' category to my 1001 books list.
can't wait for the new year to start :)

This looks like a great set of categories, I need to get back to the 1001 challenge as I've had a few years away from it. I look forward to seeing what you select
