This is a humorous book I loved as a teen, pre 1972. About several teen boys. The main character was Jewish, and had an accident prone friend nicknamed Crip. I believe they could drive, so they must have been at least 16. I assume the book was geared to teens or young adults, but not sure.

It was a fairly short, quick read that I would love to find and read again. Thanks!

I believe this is Potatoes are Cheaper. From an Amazon review: "I especially enjoyed the ridiculously funny love poems written for Maurice by his brittle-bone diseased cousin "Crip"."

Oh my gosh! I have been trying to remember the name of that book for years! It is definitely Potatoes are Cheaper. Thanks very much!
