I'm Looking For Artists Who Depict Books In Their Art. Would Love To Decorate My Fantasy Library One Day.

Anybody Know Any Lists Of Suspects? Thanx.

Oh, dear, I hardly know where to begin. I have a whole slew of postcards at home of art depicting people (mostly women) with books. I'll give you a list this evening.

But I would suggest that you look at any images of St. Jerome, who is usually depicted in his library: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=st.+jerome&gbv=2

You might try googline "Bas Bleu" to get to that company's catalog. It's a smallish company that offers products for book lovers, and there's an artist who produces wonderful notecards and such of people reading in various places. I'm sure these would make lovely small framed pictures.

Also, there's always that Wysocki (sp?) painting of a cat alseep amongst the books on a shelf. I own Pimpernel placemats featuring that artwork.
