Hi all,
This is a comic book/graphic novel that I read once or twice back in mid- to late-90s, but I'm pretty sure it was published well before then. I want to say the title was something along the lines of Midnight Son/Sun, but searches come up with nothing. Sci-fi...a young boy named Phaeton arrives on a weird planet (possibly without a sun?)...meets strange animal companions who all warn him about Worm, but it turns out that he and Worm merge into one celestial/divine being at the end. Might be misremembering elements of the plot, but it was pretty psychedelic as I recall. Black and white. I want to say it was originally French, but that's just based on me thinking back on subject matter and style now.
Love to know actual title (if I'm misremembering) as well as author and whether it's available anywhere. Many thanks!

The Midnight Son, published 1981: "Deep in the center of the Universe Phaedran searches for what will make him whole and happy." Used copies are available on Amazon.
And here's a link with some illustrations, from the author's (circa 1998) web page.

There it is! Phaedran, not Phaethon...that's what was throwing me off! Many, many thanks!
