Yesterday and this morning I noticed touchstones were acting strange: while adding a touchstone book in chat threads, the touchstone in the box to the right was as far removed from the one in the post as you could imagine. This morning I added Dog Culture to a post, and Candide showed up in the box to the right. When I clicked on "others", Candide wasn't in the list, and Dog Culture was. Yesterday I added How to Find God's Will to a post, and The Lightning Thief showed in the box to the right, but when I clicked on "others", again the correct book was at the top of the list.

I've noticed problems with touchstones before, but these seemed strange, with totally unrelated books being selected.

Thanks for looking into this.

Odd indeed. Though it looks like if you choose the proper title they're working. I know lots of times for the real popular works trying to touchstone them results in the opposite problem, they don't show in the list, but I'm not sure I've seen it this way, with them showing up where they don't fit. Though maybe. Who knows. I do know we've been told before that fixing touchstone ordering (like, exact title matches showing at the top always!) is a low priority. >.>

There are a few examples of "review in the Title field" in the list of editions of The lightning thief, so the extraneous words in those coupled with sheer weight of numbers might be responsible for the false positives.
