Regency romance about neighbors whose parents force them into an engagement even though the father's dislike each other. The book jumps between the engagement story and the engaged couples childhoods. The engaged couple met on the boundary of their property as children climbing a tree. They meet periodically as they grow up and become very good friends something they know their fathers would not approve of. They seem to hate each other though when it talks about their engagement so you wonder how they became such enemies. In the end it turns out they love each other and knew the only way they a would be able to marry was to trick their parents into forcing their engagement. Does anyone remember the name of this book?
